1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CodeAscent Kids mobile application (the “App”), operated by CodeAscent (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The Service
CodeAscent Kids is an educational app that teaches children the fundamentals of Python programming and AI concepts through interactive, narrated, age-appropriate missions. The App is free to download and includes a set of free missions. Additional content is available through an optional subscription.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (“Full Access”) that unlocks all missions. Subscriptions are sold and processed exclusively through Apple's App Store; CodeAscent does not process payments or store any payment information.
Plans
- Annual Plan — billed yearly, and may include an introductory free trial where offered.
- Monthly Plan — billed monthly.
Exact prices are shown in the App at the time of purchase in your local currency, as configured in the App Store.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
Free trial
Where an introductory free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid subscription at the standard price.
Managing & canceling
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple through the App Store; CodeAscent cannot directly issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Your use of subscriptions is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA): apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended educational purpose. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law;
- Use the App in any unlawful manner or in violation of these Terms;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its content, characters, artwork, lessons, code, and design, is owned by CodeAscent and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial, family use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6. Privacy
Your privacy matters. CodeAscent Kids collects no personal data, and all learning runs on-device. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how the App handles information and subscriptions.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeAscent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. Because the App collects no data and stores all progress on-device, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms at https://codeascent.online/terms. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
